In the world of endurance sports, consistency is crucial, and Fatma Jassem Al Marri demonstrated this exceptionally by securing a resounding victory for SM Private Stables in the Dubai Crown Prince Endurance Festival’s Private Stables competition.

Competing on her 12-year-old horse Celebryta, Al Marri steadily advanced up the leaderboard during the 120 km event. She increased her pace in the final loop to secure the win against her competitors, completing the four-loop ride in 4 hours, 14 minutes, and 50 seconds (4:14:50) with an average speed of 28.25 kph.

Taking second place were Ebraheim Ali Sabeel and Farzibus Cabirat from MAB Stables, finishing just 32 seconds later in 4:15:22. The third position went to Suhail Ali Al Ghailani and SW Kulmaalif of SS Private Stables, who completed the ride in 4:19:12.

The Dubai Crown Prince Endurance Festival is held in honor of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, as well as the Crown Prince of Dubai.

The race commenced with Abdulla Abdulaziz Al Tawash and Full Options Niellans from SS Endurance Stables taking an early lead at the end of the first 40 km loop, while Al Marri started from the 16th position. She climbed five places to 11th during the second 35 km loop as Al Tawash relinquished the lead to his teammate Saif Juma Al Beljafla on JM Jadjmili.

Al Marri’s momentum continued in the third 25 km loop, where she advanced to sixth place, while Beljafla held the lead. As they entered the final 20 km loop, Al Marri was trailing by 5 minutes and 37 seconds, realizing that she needed to make a significant push to secure her victory.

And push she did. Al Marri and Celebryta picked up their pace, achieving nearly an 8 kph faster speed than in the previous loop, culminating in an impressive win, finishing 32 seconds ahead of Sabeel and Farzibus Cabirat.

Ahmed Rashid Al Kaabi, General Manager of Dubai Equestrian Club, presented the trophies to the victorious duo.

The Festival, which began on March 23 with the 120 km Ladies Ride won by Sara Hasan Ahmed from ABH Stables on Wayward, resumed after inclement weather with the Al Yamamah Cup for Mares on March 30, narrowly won by Hamdan Ahmad Al Mansoori riding SW Jashfiya AA 50 for M7 Endurance Stables.

The excitement will continue with the Dubai Crown Prince Endurance Cup taking place on Wednesday, April 1st.
